TAD Canine Retraction Screw For Braces Treatment
Tad Canine Retraction Screw also know as a Mini Screw, is an orthodontic appliance that
works as a tooth movement device. A
small screw is placed your jaw that moves your teeth into their right position
and stops other teeth from moving in the wrong direction.
TAD Canine Retraction Screw
Typically the TAD Canine Retraction Screw is used during orthodontic braces treatment for a
patient whose top teeth stick out or they have crowding in the front of their mouth. In most cases tooth extraction is necessary to create the
space needed to move the front teeth back and the back teeth stay in place. Tad Canine Retraction Screw is
placed between the roots of the back teeth in the top jaw where they will be used as an
anchor, elastics are used with the screw to move the front teeth back, while keeping
your back teeth right where they are. Dr. Robison will decide which treatment
is best for you and your smile.
