Dr. Robison uses the E-space lower holding arch appliance mostly on children who have lost their teeth too early and in need of  preventive dental care. The E-space lower holding arch is almost always followed by Dental Braces.

E-space lower holding arch is made up of two metal bands attached to your lower molars connected by a wire that runs along the inside of your lower teeth to keep your molars from moving and blocking the space where your Adult permanent teeth are supposed to come in. You should avoid sticky or hard food. Sticky food can loosen your appliance and hard food can break it.
As always good oral hygiene, brushing twice daily and keeping you appliance clean will help ensure the success of the E-space lower holding arch.
For the first few days you should speak out loud so your tongue gets used to it. A special wax is given if the band bugs your cheeks.
